SGC Participation in the Academic Training Program with the Environmental Authority 2025
Shinas Generating Company participated with the Environmental Authority in the Academic Training Program, which trained around 30 university graduates and provided them with an overview of the power generation sector. The visit was interactive, with the team focusing on various operational areas, sector challenges, and the business models applied in different departments. This gave participants valuable insights into the company’s operations and the broader power generation industry.
Shinas Generating Company (‘SGC’ or ‘the Company’) owns and operates the Sohar 3 IPP project. The project comprises of two power generation blocks with a combined contracted capacity of 1710 MW, located at Sohar in the North Al Batinah Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman.
